A well-established, high-volume hospitality group is conducting a confidential search for an Executive Sous Chef to support culinary operations across locations in Chicago and Oakbrook. This is a hands-on leadership role for a strong kitchen operator who thrives in structured, fast-paced environments and is ready to take ownership of execution, consistency, and team development.

This position works closely with the Executive Chef and FOH leadership to ensure exceptional food quality, operational efficiency, and a disciplined kitchen culture. The right candidate brings both culinary skill and the ability to lead by example in a high-volume setting.

• Support daily kitchen operations across multiple service periods
• Lead and mentor sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen staff
• Ensure consistency, portion control, and recipe adherence across locations
• Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, and compliance
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, and cost control
• Partner with leadership on menu execution and seasonal updates
• Drive training, accountability, and performance standards in the kitchen

• 3–7+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience (Sous Chef or higher)
• High-volume restaurant or multi-unit experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of BOH systems: inventory, labor, and food cost controls
• Proven ability to lead, train, and hold teams accountable
• Calm, organized leadership style in high-pressure environments
• Culinary degree or formal training preferred, not required

• $70,000 – $85,000 base salary
