Job Summary

TalentWise LLC is building a pipeline of human resources professionals to support anticipated government contract awards with Arlington County, VA.

The Compensation Specialist supports classification and compensation programs by assisting with job analysis, salary reviews, and data-driven compensation initiatives. This role provides technical and administrative support for compensation studies, pay analysis, and job classification activities.

The position works closely with HR analysts and stakeholders to ensure accurate job documentation, compliance with compensation policies, and effective implementation of compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classification activities, including reviewing and updating job descriptions 
  • Assist with compensation analysis, including salary reviews and pay exception requests 
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain compensation and employee data 
  • Support compensation studies, surveys, and job family analysis projects 
  • Conduct audits of employee and position data to ensure accuracy and compliance 
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications related to compensation initiatives 
  • Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, and support project management efforts 
  • Maintain compensation and classification records and documentation 
  • Collaborate with HR staff and departments to resolve compensation-related issues 
  • Assist with system updates and data management in HR platforms 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field 
  • Experience in human resources, preferably in compensation, classification, or job evaluation 
  • Working knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methods, and HR practices 
  • Strong analytical and data management skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
